The name Canyon Park relates to the park’s position within a canyon. The city bought the land for the park in 1975, but it didn’t open to the public until 1992. On April 18, 1992, it was dedicated. Arbor Street is located at 950 Arbor St. Canyon park is 35 acres and there are amenities like 3 barbecues, 9 picnic tables, and a playground. Canyon Community Park starts with a playground and neighborhoods and extends into a 35-acre park with numerous hiking routes, including a pond and a canyon loop.
