Halecrest is a well-established neighborhood in Costa Mesa, California featuring midsize homes that are of high value. The Halecrest and Hall of Fame neighborhoods are located right next to each other. Due to their close proximity, they are often get grouped together because there are no major streets that separates the two communities. However, each neighborhood has a unique character on its own.
Built in the mid-1950s, the homes in the Halecrest neighborhoods were part of the earliest planned community in the City of Costa Mesa. There are nearly 700 homes in Halecrest – many of which are single story, however there are also a couple of two-story homes. The architecture of the Halecrest homes are more of traditional ranches. Killybrooke Elementary School is located in the heart of the community along with 2 neighborhood parks: the Halecrest Park, Swim & Tennis Club and the Gisler Park. With convenient freeway access and walking distance to Bagel Mania Coffee House, Sprouts, Target and more, Halecrest is a wonderful community to call home in Costa Mesa.
Halecrest Park is considered one of Costa Mesa’s best kept secrets. It has the Mesa Room which is the largest available event space featuring a neutral palate with a fireplace, bar, commercial kitchen and wood floors. A wall of glass doors open to a large outdoor patio. It is a perfect setting for wedding receptions, graduation parties and other special events. For a smaller private event, a multipurpose room is available and can accommodate a total of 80 guests. The room is ideal for small gatherings, anniversary parties, sweet sixteen parties, baptisms, seminars, presentations and business meetings. On the other hand, the Back Club House is a quaint space which can host up to 50 guests. It features a full kitchen with an excellent view of the park and optional pool rental from a bank of windows surrounding the room. Picnic Grounds are also available and can accommodate up to 300 guests. The park is ideal for company picnics, wedding ceremonies, birthdays, graduation celebrations, class or family reunions and youth events. The Halecrest Park also provides recreational facilities such as a volleyball court, a half-court basketball, and a new children’s playground. In addition, there is an open grassy area for the customer’s choice of bounce house and carnival events.
