If you would like to change the angle of teeth, correct chips and cracks, or mask stains and discoloration, dental veneers can help you accomplish your goals. Veneers, also known as laminates, can help you straighten and brighten your smile, and the entire process usually takes no more than two weeks.
Veneers are extremely thin porcelain covers that are bonded onto your teeth to cover up cosmetic problems. They come in two varieties – composite veneers and porcelain veneers. Veneers made from composite, which is a type of plastic, are slightly cheaper, but they do not last as long as those made from porcelain. Porcelain veneers, if properly cared for, can maintain their translucency and beautiful white color forever.
Dr. Ayzin can work wonders with teeth that have a lot of problems. A full mouth reconstruction uses a combination of different dentistry procedures to address all of the problems that are afflicting your smile. With dental implants, porcelain veneers and crowns, teeth whitening, tooth-colored fillings and other procedures, Dr. Ayzin can help you achieve a smile that is straight, bright white, and free of gaps and other problems.
If you are anxious about the amount of work you need done, Dr. Ayzin can even perform the procedures while you sleep.
Before the advent of veneers, crowns were the only way to cover up teeth with major cosmetic problems. This was a problem, because older crowns were made from porcelain with metal underneath and therefore lacked the translucency that gives teeth a realistic, lifelike appearance. Now, however, newer, stronger types of porcelain allow us to make all-porcelain crowns, free from the dark metal base. All-porcelain crowns look just like natural teeth.
Crowns completely cover a problem tooth, so they require that a significant amount of tooth surface be removed before the crown can be installed. We generally use crowns when teeth are severely damaged but have roots that are intact. Contact us to find out whether crowns, veneers or another treatment would be the best option for restoring your smile.
If you have missing teeth, dental implants are a great way to replace them. They look and feel natural; dental implants mimic natural teeth both in their appearance and in their construction.
Natural teeth have two main parts – the root, which anchors the tooth into the jawbone, and the crown, which is the part of the tooth that is visible above the gums. Dental implants have an “anchor,” which does the job of a normal tooth’s root. The anchor is a metal screw that literally anchors the implant into your jawbone. Dental implants also have a crown, which is, in this case, a realistic-looking artificial tooth that attaches to the anchor. Bone and gums grow in around implants, making it hard to distinguish a dental implant from any other tooth.

Metal fillings are quickly becoming a thing of the past. These fillings, made of a material called “dental amalgam” leave a big, unsightly blotch of silver right in the middle of your tooth. Now, we use a composite resin that is shaded to perfectly matched to the color of your tooth.
Tooth-colored fillings are just as strong and durable as old dental amalgam fillings, and are much less conspicuous. We are even able to remove old, ugly metal fillings and replace them with tooth-colored ones.
Teeth whitening has become very popular and is now widely used. This simple, easy-to-perform procedure is relatively inexpensive and can have a dramatic effect on your smile.
We have two main whitening methods at our office. The ZOOM!™ in-office whitening system uses a special lamp and a light-activated bleaching gel to whiten your teeth over the course of a one-hour visit to our office. We also have a take-home whitening system that uses a whitening gel and custom-fit mouth trays. You can use the take-home system whenever it is convenient for you over the course of 3 to 14 days.
For the brightest, whitest smile possible we recommend that you combine ZOOM!™ in-office whitening with the take-home trays. The results can be amazing!
Orthodontics are a tried-and-true method of slowly and steadily moving your teeth into a more perfect alignment. The problem with orthodontics, however, has been the classic “tin grin;” patients had to put up with big metal braces that were attached to their teeth for the entire course of the treatment. Now, with Invisalign® Invisible Orthodontics, your teeth can be straightened in a more comfortable, less conspicuous manner.
When you come to Dentistry @ Its Finest to have your teeth straightened with Invisalign®, Dr. Ayzin will begin by explaining how Invisalign works, as well as pros and cons of the treatment. Whenever you are ready to start, pictures of your teeth and bite will be taken along with impressions of your teeth. Invisalign® will then use these impressions to create a series of clear plastic aligners that fit snugly over your teeth. These aligners slowly guide your teeth into the desired position; you will switch to a new set of aligners about every two weeks. Invisalign® aligners are removable, so you can take them off to eat, drink, brush and floss, making them much more convenient than traditional braces.
Breaking News: we have been just named a Prefered Provider for Invisalign 10 years in a row.
At Dentistry @ Its Finest, your health is our number one priority. Because of this, we are pleased to offer digital x-rays. This state of the art technology reduces the amount of radiation you are exposed to with traditional x-rays by 90 percent. We simply use a small sensor that immediately sends the image directly to a computer monitor. Not only does this save 15-20 minutes in processing time, but also allows us to show you potential problems so that you can make informed decisions regarding your dental health. This is just one of the many ways we strive to protect your health and ensure your safety.
